Educational Programs
RCASA presentations are tailored to address the specific goals of the requesting organization. Each presentation will include a synopsis of the services RCASA provides and information on how victims can access our services. All programs are provided to residents of Planning District 16 at no charge.
Community
Churches
Customized programs are available to meet the varied needs of many denominations in our community. RCASA provides programs designed to reach adults about child abuse, or provide staff and volunteer training for workers in the children and youth departments.
Law Enforcement
Training opportunities are available for the law enforcement agencies in our community. RCASA provides training for the Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy's Basic School and their in-service programs. Customized programs are available through the Academy or on-site local sheriff's offices and police stations.
Educational
Schools
RCASA provides risk reduction programs on date and acquaintance rape, sexual assault and child sexual abuse for middle and high school students, staff members and parents. Our programs meet the Family Life Education Objectives in each of the school districts in Planning District 16.
Allied Professionals
Customized in-service training programs are available to describe RCASA and the services we provide. An overview of the magnitude of the problem of sexual assault is also provided. Topics are available to help your staff members recognize sexual assault indicators, respond to disclosures of sexual assault/abuse and reduce their own risk of being sexually assaulted.
